We dug a bit into our vault today for this featured wedding. As you will see, however, it was well worth the wait! Lakisha and Jhimmy were such a joy to shoot and we were lucky enough to capture their big day. Their love for each other was complimented by the abundance of love that was present by their big family and amazing friends. From the moment she walked down the aisle at The First Presbyterian Church of Miami to the last dance at Comber Hall, this was truly a special day of love, laughter and overall fun!
Some couples simply do not want to stress about taking photos of the two of them on the day of their wedding so they opt for a post-session in order to get their formal photos. Lakisha and Jhimmy took advantage of this option and the results are beautiful images that will hang on the walls of their home for a lifetime.
With another destination wedding on the horizon, it is natural for us to reminisce about the fantastic time we had shooting Jill and Robbie’s wedding weekend at the exclusive Lyford Cay Club in the Bahamas. There is always something special when friends and family from each side meet in one magical place for the purpose of celebrating a beautiful union… and this group sure knew how to celebrate! From the intimate ceremony by the breathtaking Bahamian shore to the contagious rhythms of the Junkanoo band, this wedding had it all! Our team was more than delighted to capture each moment, from start to finish, of this spectacular event. Enjoy the highlights!
Feeling honored! First time entering the WPPI International photo competition and received recognition by being awarded an Accolade of Excellence. Here’s one of my favorite kind of images to produce – Ring Shots!
This week’s blog features one of the most delightful couples we have had the pleasure of shooting. Ulyana and Steven’s marriage began at the charming Sundy House in Delray Beach, FL where they said there “I Dos” among an intimate gathering of family and friends. The lush, exotic landscape was the perfect backdrop for an evening overflowing with romance! We hope you enjoy this highlight of their special day!
The blog missed us, so we reunited. It’s been a very busy year and it’s not slowing down; we’re loving it!!!
Rosemary and Orlando are by far one of the sweetest couples we’ve had the pleasure of shooting. They met during their first year in The Cadets in 2006. The ceremony was held outdoors of the beautiful Royal Poinciana Chapel in Palm Beach, Florida. It was a gorgeous setting surrounded by friends and family. The ceremony was followed by the reception in the cultural centerpiece of City Place, the Harriet Himmel Theater. It was a night full of laughter and dancing. We really enjoyed shooting this wedding and hope you enjoy just a small preview of their big day.
In my last blog I mentioned that I would be blogging every week … if time allowed it. Needless to say, it’s been almost a month since then and I have been fortunate to be busy with back to back photo sessions and weddings. So we can start the blogging marathon again with another wedding in the Florida Keys. This one has been one of my favorite weddings to shoot for so many reasons beginning with Alisha and Ted and their crazy/fun/loving family and friends (make sure not to miss the surprise after the first kiss!) This couple gave me so much creative freedom to capture their special day which resulted in a beautiful telling of their story just as it occurred.
The ceremony took place at the Basilica of Saint Mary’s Star of the Sea in Key West, FL. The church was lined with open French doors on both sides of the aisle which allowed the natural light to flow in and gave the ceremony an outdoor, airy feel. You could even hear the free roaming roosters crowing in true Key West style! Speaking of Key West style, their reception which followed at the beautiful Westin Key West Resort provided the perfect sunset backdrop which was nothing short of breathtaking. These are some of my favorites from that day. Enjoy!
And the blogging marathon begins. I can go back to November 2012, as the vault is full of goodies. With 37 weddings shot since and countless engagement sessions, the blogs will be coming, if time allows it, every week. I am starting with Nicole and John. Their wedding took place at the Postcard Inn Beach Resort in Islamorada, Florida. Weddings at the Florida Keys are always so much fun and relaxed. That is exactly what this day was all about: Palm trees, ocean breeze and good times. With amazing friends, great family and a super fun couple, how can this not be enjoyable? I had a great time capturing their day. Enjoy some of my favorites.
